2.1.2: This site is running on the Cloudflare Free Plan and the code is hosted in a private GitHub repository.

2.1.3: This site is built with Astro - an open source JavaScript framework.

2.2: Third Party Cookies

The following websites are the only instances in which any data is collected. These all happen outside the scope of this website. Any new additions will be made here.

2.2.1: MailerLite

If you opt-in to any of the free products in the “Made By Jay” category, you will encounter forms that ask for “First Name” and “Email”.

This information is stored on MailerLite databases and not on this site. You can opt-out at anytime, and your information will be deleted within 30 days. You can also make a direct request and the information will be deleted immediately.

2.2.2: Amazon Associate

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

You will find links to Amazon products using Special Links. Any blog page with a special link will be tagged with “amazon-associate”.

These are affiliate links and last upto 24 hours if clicked. Any blog that contains a link has a “amazon-associate” tag for clarity purposes and to abide by the Amazon Associates Program Operating Agreement.

2.2.3: Stripe

Any cookies for payment information is stored on Stripe servers and not on this site. Please refer to their Cookie Policy for more information.

2.2.4: Notion Affiliate

If you decide to sign-up for a Notion paid plan using the affiliate link on this website, the cookie is collected by Notion on your browser and not on this website. You can view the Privacy Policy here.

3. Data

3.1 Data Collected

When you purchase a second-hand book, or an affiliate product from a link on this site, you will be taken to a secure checkout. It could be Stripe, Open Node, Amazon or Gumroad.

The following information is collected:

3.1.1: Name - For any purchase including digital products, physical products and email newsletter (Khan Direct)

3.1.2: Email - For any purchase including digital products, physical products and email newsletter (Khan Direct). Also you will receive confirmation and transactional emails for your own records.

3.1.3: Shipping Address - only for physical items that need to be shipped within Canada. This includes Street address, Province, Postal Code, and Country. Digital products don’t require any shipping address. This information is not stored in any personal database. It is specifically stored in Stripe, Open Node, or Amazon databases. You can request deletion for data stored on Stripe and Open Node by contacting me by email

3.1.4: Payment Information - All payment information is done on secure checkouts such as Stripe, Open Node, and Amazon. No information is stored on a personal database.

3.1.5: Information collected on third parties like Stripe, MailerLite, Amazon will never be sold to another third party for any reason whatsoever. Please refer to their Privacy Policy which you can find in Section 4.

3.2 Data Usage

3.2.1 To contact you by email only. You will not receive any phone calls unless you specify.

3.2.2 To provide updates, news, special offers and promotions through email only. Nothing will ever be sent by mail except for a purchased item that is physical in nature.

3.2.3 This site does not currently collect any data or store cookies on your browser for analytic purposes.

3.2.4 Any changes to data usage will be added here. For example, if an analytics tool is added in the future to monitor activity on the site, this will be made clear and the user will be given the choice to opt-in or not. This will be made obvious with banners and pop-ups.

3.3 Delete Data

3.3.1 Direct request for deletion - please send any requests to [email protected] and you will receive a confirmation that the request was completed within 30 days.
